ParcelForce - packaging items

Hi all,

Am sending a rocking caterpillar to a girl on ebay and im sending it via ParcelForce. When I received it from Mamas and Papas it was in a plastic case when it was delivered, rather than a box.

Was going to re-send it in the original case, anyone know if ParcelForce are funny about this? looked on their site and they do give you recommendations of how to package things, but couldn't find any "rules" as such? I want to get it sent asap, so don't want them to refuse to take it on the day.

No idea where id get such a huge box anyway, and im not really willing to pay for one since the lucky lady got the caterpillar for a bargain price! What would you do?

Thanks for any help

You'd get a large enough box from the likes of B&Q homesbase etc

There is no rules to sending but they recommend what they have because the theiving *******s steal! Like an £800 HD flat screen tv!

ParcelForce require a box or plastic "citypack". Nothing else will do.

I use them as my courier.

I had something refused once before. I covered the box in brown paper and that was fine.

The box must be clearly labeled - the post office sell good boxes... city pack is a half-size black bin bag that holds up to 5KG or 10KG depending on pack... - you can always use one of those or half a bin bag!...
