Need to dye a satin bridesmaid dress black!

I am going to be a bridesmaid in Aug and need to dye a dress black.

I got married in july in an alfred angelo bridesmaid dress made from satin and after a certain situation need to dye it black to wear as bridesmaid's dress for my best friends wedding.

Does anyone know where to start dying a satin dress?

I think your best bet would be to go to a place that dyes satin shoes, I wouldnt attempt it myself but it may be easy enough

If you are feeling brave there are arts and crafts places that sell all sorts of fabric dyes, its not too hard esp as some you just throw in the washing machine and others you just leave to soak in a big tub for a few hours as if you were washing your clothes as per usual, just they end up a differnt colour afterwards lol. Personally I've not had much problem dying fabic... mind you i have only dyed cotton, polyester and silk... never satin...
