I managed to get a lime tree and an orange tree through the gates at florida, they were in mine and my dads hand luggage. They were only little ones but Im pretty sure we shouldn't have had them. Oh well.

However on the same trip they took my portable hair straighteners off me. I actually thought they were going to evacuate the airport, it was so funny. I kept saying 'They're hair straighteners! Look!' and they wouldn't let me show them.

On the way out to Cyprus (from Luton), they checked everything - I had to taste the water from all my bottles and had to open a SEALED jar of baby food to taste - they didn't even watch though, tbh. But they didn't check anything on the way back so I had 4 bottles of water for baby milk, a tub of sudocrem (not sure if this is allowed) and a carton of formula. They also laughed at me for getting all the bottles of water out and putting them into the tray so I could 'declare' them (like they made me do in Luton). My mum got a pair of eyelash curlers confiscated though.... x

When we were coming back from Spain my hubby forgot to chuck his lighter away and went through security with it in his jacket. The jacket went through the x-ray machine but wasn't picked up!

I've only flown to Bristol. It was before security got tighter, but I had to take spare prescriptions and a letter from my doctor to verify my meds....they never checked them though! I was there with like 3g of morphine on me!

Where did you fly to AG that they didn't check you at all!?

I got stopped coming back from France so that they could break the nail file off my nail scissors. Thought it was a bit mad frankly. Can you imagine trying to stab someone with one of those? They're about an inch long!
