But i feel i did the deed they never choose to be produced so what right do i have to take it away also so many people cant have children for what ever reasons and i just couldnt do it with that guilt, if i couldnt support a child at any time i would rather give it to someone who is dying for one than do the easy thing an end a life. xxx | My personal opinion on abortion is that, i disagree with it unless the pregnancy/birth would endanger the mother or child. Also if the child would be born with a severe condition for example if they would be severely brain damaged. Not for selfish reasons but because I don't think it's fair on a child to bring them into the world knowing that they are going to have a poor quality and often short life. I am totally against it as a form of contraception. It really annoys me when people go round not using contraception and then have an abortion because it's not a 'conveinient' time to have a baby. I don't think it was a conveinient time for me but I made a mistake and have to deal with it, all be it the best 'mistake' I've ever made. The fact that you can have one up to 24 weeks is sickening. At my 20 week scan my baby looked like a real little human. If you leave it that long and have to give birth to it anyway why not go full term and put it up for adoption?
Sorry, rant over. I apologise if I've offended anyone with what I've said but I don't think I will have... at the end of the day everyones entitled to their own opinion

I'm Currently Feeling: | i dont think abortions should be aloud unless the baby isnt viable, and in the case of rape should be pre 8 weeks.
i dont think less of anyone whos had an abortion and we have to remember that some people on here have had abortions and may find this thread upsetting.
its the hardest choice anyone should make.
although i did find myself shouting at the girls on the tv last night cause they seemed to take no responsibility for what they had done it was blase, it just shows what a throw away society we live in today

| I watched the program and share some of the same sentiments as other posters. The blasé woman didn’t impress me at all, but I think the comment about the middle class being more likely to get an abortion is statistically true. I am very pro-choice and I surprised myself by hoping that the young man in the program would be able to convince his partner to keep the baby (I know he wanted it, and she mentioned that she had felt it move, and if she felt it again she couldn’t go through with the termination).
I know the program was trying to show a variety of women, but I think showing the girl who’d aborted at 23 weeks was quite controversial, as these types of terminations constitute such a small percentage, but much of the debate about abortion focuses on these situations. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I used to be against abortion however as a nurse and having worked in the day surgery unit where they carry them out, really made me think. I seen some awful woman come in, one girl in particular who was having a major tantrum/rant and just wanted to "get rid of the fucking thing" amonst other things which i wont go into which made me think wow im so glad your aborting that child as s/he would have such an awful life with her as a mother!
If a child was going to be born into a life of abuse etc then id rather the person got rid of it then make the child suffer all its life.
I def dont believe in abortion as contraception, working in theatre while they are performing abortions makes me feel sick to my stomach so dont know how anyone would want to repeatedly go through that. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I wanted the one with two kids to keep her baby. I know deep down she knew she couldn't, but watching her cry afterwards, and seeing how much the dad wanted it, was heartbreaking. |

It was upsetting knowing her OH wanted it too.
I'm still fuming over that stupid blonde woman though. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The one that bothered me the most was the one with two boys that "just wanted to be loved." |
