| How do Italk him into a new car? Well we have a 3 door ford focus, which is a pain in the arse with getting Noah in and out fo the back, and its always muggins here that has to do it. Plus with another on the way its going to be harder.
Think is my mum dropped over today as she is looking at buying a focus herself, and Ihave mentioned the idea of her buying ours, which ic great for her as she knows nothing about cars and it would means she wouldnt get ripped off on a private sale, and wouldnt have to pay dealership prices.
Ireally would like a Vauxhall Zafera espectially as we plan on having a third child. But OH hates people carriers and chose a 3 door focus cause it looked sporty but is still practical. But I am now the one that does most of the driving as he no longer drives to work, plus he has two other sports cars to satisfy his masculine urges.
But how do I talk him on to parting with the car he loves for a 'family' car? | | | | Status: Offline

| Tell him exactly what you've said here - as you're the one that does most of the driving then it makes sense you get an easy family car.
Either that or a BJ |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Just point out that a 3 door isnt very practical if you have an accident and need to get the kids out of their seats quickly! having been in an accident when in a 5 door that was bad enough. |

| Simple hun ... you don't ask you tell him!
Bit like i have hun, I have TOLD gav i need another car cause getting maddie in and out of a fiat 3 door punto is a NIGHTMARE!!
Tell him (in a nice way) that you cannot get noah, a baby and a double buggy in a 3 door car, you can get sporty looking 5 doors but a sporty looking 3 door is NOT practical for you or the kids!!
Failing that ... just go get another lmao!

| Well it went surprisingly well with him last night. He agreeded that the car we have is not very preactical for our family, and now he walks to work he doesnt drive much anyway. So generally he agreed on the idea. But I have discovered that our car is not worth that much now, and its older than I thought so I dont think my mum would want it afterall and if we sell it we wont get as much as its worth, and I dont know that I would be able to add enough to it to make it possible to get a better car. Cause our focus is 6 years old but has a milage of only 40,000 which is excepingly low. We only bought it a couple of years ago for £7k and now its only valued at £3k!!!
So bugger knows what to do. Plus for his birthday this year I spent £600 on new alloys for his car, which wont fit a Zafira! | | | | Status: Offline
