As far as I know the headlice shampoo is a pesticide. You should check with your midwife/doctor.

i think the best way to get rid of them is loads of conditioner and a nit comb, lotions tend not to work and are expensive.

you have to soak the hair in conditioner and comb it out until you dont find any more nits and do it every day for a week or so incase they have layed eggs

oh and wash bedding and treat everyone theyve been in contact with.

it might be worth letting the school know too so they can tell the other parents to check their kids.

have fun :s

Thanks i've notified the school ....they are notorious for kids getting it there but mine have been lucky so far! The chemist said to try the conditioner on myself first and if no luck then the lotion was safe to use but not all are so it's best to check for future ref for other mums.

Don't think my OH is best pleased lol

Thanks again

i remember my little sister getting nits all the time and she was really allergic to nit lotion so be really careful!!!!! lol

if i remember correctly they dont like tea tree so maybe tea tree conditioner- ill help with any bites too cause its antiseptic.

i also heard if you brush your hair upside down really hard it breaks their legs and they cant move.....although im not to sure on that one lol

i wouldnt be too please if i were your oh either lol

good luck i hope you get rid of them soon

x
