Never take your animals to pets at home vets!

i had my kittys neutered/spayed a good few months ago, everything went fine fabulous great no baby kittys for me.

wrong so wrong its not great i actually feel ill

turns out they could only find one uterine horn (i wasnt told this at the time)so they stitched her up and sent her home, i was told that everything was fine she had a bigger cut than normal bur just keep and eye on her etc.

she had been showing signs of being in season i figured it was left over hormones or something

anyways all has been fine

till recently she has been showing full signs of being in season so i called the vets and i spoke to the guy who did the op (he sounded like a stoned teenager) he said about the uterine horn thing and that if shes been mated to bring her in and theyd deal with it cause the kittens would be growing day by day.

a cat abortion

WTF
this is the point that i started to feel sick.
i explained that they were indoor cats and there would be no chance of kittens if they had neutered my other cat properly (which they assured me that they had) so he said ok well bring her in we will cut her open and have a look!

im not happy about her going back there its like shes been butchered their get them in ship them out attitude is awful and a cat abortion thats vile!

i have found another vet who is calling be back to discuss options i dont want her to have another op just to have a look if there are other things that can be done to look before surgery.

please please be careful with pets at home vets!

I know there are "morning after" pills for dogs because our neighbour gave hers one when my parents jack russell ran off with their prized labrador.
