I loved working there - it was only for around 6 months during my year off before university....it was (cough, cough), 1990 and things were very primitive then so I am afraid I have no photos! LOL!

I worked in the souvenier & ticket shops and so you got to be at a different place all over the Tower each day.

Saw what I can only explain was the ghost of a very tall, bearded gentleman there too.................

It was a wonderful Summer there, hot and a good laugh. I always say 1990 was the best year of my life.

If only they knew back then that a baby's sex was determined by the male...not the female!!

Emzy...the books written by Joanne Denny, Alison Weir and Eric Ives about Anne Boleyn, and the Tudors in general are excellent reads!

Oh yes, and I'd recommend anything by Antonia Fraser (although I disagree with some of what she says, she writes very well - and I'm just an armchair historian, lol) and David Starkey. Robert Hutchinson has also written a brilliant book on Thomas Cromwell, which is well worth reading.

Also, Derek Wilso has a book called 'In the Lion's Court' about Wolsey, More, Cromwell, Cranmer and Wriothesley. Excellent read!

I love this thread! I've been forming a bit of a Tudor obsession myself over the last few years. I would LOVE to do the Anne Boleyn Experience; I've made my husband promise he'll take me to England some day. He thinks I'm crazy because I love history and he finds it boring. I've recently read about Elizabeth Woodville and found her fascinating as well.

I love Elizabeth Woodville - fascinating woman. I wish there was more to read on Richard IIIs wife, Anne Neville, but in historical terms...she's still something of an enigma!

Warwick Castle is another fannnnntastic place to visit, ladies, when you come over.

Oh yeah....I forgot about Warwick Castle. I also want to visit Sudely and Leeds Castle. Such a shame that Whitehall and Nonsuch Palace are no longer in existence.

Sudeley and Leeds are lovely - Windsor, too - they have HVIII armour on display and that man had SOME waistline!
