A very busy weekend. On Saturday I did nothing but run around all day ensuring I had everything required for my stepdaughter's birthday, then bringing stepson to his hockey game awhile before the party (and getting lost trying to find the rink), visiting MIL as she had a bday present for me, and then the party.

And, I could do without having to deal with my OH's ex at these bday parties. UGH!

The nice thing is while I was running around with my head cut off on Saturday, all my stepkids and OH were cleaning my house. BUT, I can't find a flipping thing now. Should never let kids file things away for you!

Yesterday was grocery shopping, laundry and then I was also up til midnight.

In a few weeks time, there's a big birthday party happening here. My son is turning 5 and we are combining his birthday with the next door neighbors daughter. I had originally thought we were going to have 40 kids but now is down to 31!

Anyhow, we are planning a big scavenger hunt. Any ideas on what to hide? BTW, going to be outdoors!

I think that's why I am even more shattered. Every night last week I awoke coughing. Seems to be a bit better and the past two nights I've not woken. YAY!

BTW, hope you got some sleep for me too!

We have 5 teams of children and there are young ones and older ones, with an adult as a leader. So we are trying to make it a bit difficult. LOL We've thought of pennies, etc.

Yeah, we like to give them a challenge. LOL

My MIL, btw, got me a magic bullet. Sounds like a vibrator, doesn't it?

I had to razz her. She's from England and has a wonderful sense of humor. So, as I was openning it she said she bought me something practical. When I saw the name Magic Bullet I asked her if it was a vibrator. LOL

Anyhow, it's like a blender and my gosh, excellent at making ice into a slush. Now I no longer have to go out and buy my iced coffees!

You could hide little sweets and chocolate. Try hiding small things. My daughter loves colouring so she would love nothing more than a packet of crayons, but it depends what your children like. My daughter likes little toy cars and these are small and easily hidden or a colouring book. Other books are good as well.
