I'm Currently Feeling: | Last Night So, this is what my fire department helped with last night: http://www.nbc30.com/news/16006526/d...l?dl=mainclick
Dh and I didn't go. I would've gotten left at the department, as I'm not allowed to respond to calls right now, obviously. DH worked 18 hour days all week and had fire school today, so he couldn't go...he's about like this today thought... He really wishes he could've gone. Oh...and my FD is still there..probably will be until Sunday sometime. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | My friends a female firefighter in england. She's just passed her test to be able to drive them, so she's well pleased. There aren't that many females on the job here, how about where you are? | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | There aren't a ton. The FD I'm on has the most females out of any in our city (7 depts). We have 5 of us on it. It's pretty male dominated. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Well, there haven't been any casualties reported as of yet. A few people got taken to the hospital, but 45 are still unaccounted for right now. Probably at relatives houses and such. That's one of the biggest fires our city has ever had. DH and I have only been FF's/EMT's for a year. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I bet ur well pee'd off you missed the biggest fire ever. Not that you would want a fire like that to happen again but it's a shame you missed it. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | LOL, yea...the tones dropped at 0130 and I had just gotten comfy and fallen asleep, I heard two other local stations get called and heard what it was for and I went, "^*&^$&(**&^$%%#, we're gonna get called and I'm not gonna get to go!" It's kinda scary, but the adreneline rush is amazing...woke LO RIGHT up when I heard our tones go off, even if I can't go I still get that rush from hearing them...kinda odd. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Well...no human casualties reported as of yet. There are still 45 unaccounted for that haven't called the fire depts to let us know they're okay. A LOT of cats and dogs, birds and small animals lost their lives though, which really sucks. I feel really bad for all the people that lost EVERYTHING...and then on top of that, their pets too. | | | | Status: Offline
