Did anyone see the documentary a few yrs ago about a woman who was still breastfeeding her daughter and Im shore she was about 10. Personally I think that is wrong and is just setting the child up to be bullied as they were very open about it.

I dont have a problem with it if thats what the mum wants to do & child is happy. If it got to the point where the child was unhappythough, I think its time to stop x

Also, I can now see myself feeding Amelie until she's 2+ I'm very open with it at work and for the most part people support it. Saying that, who cares what other people think!

I dont know from experience but i would have thought that the majority of children lose interest in BF at around the age of 3/4 anyway and self wean (if they havent already) as they are attending pre school and getting ready for "big" school and beginning to form their own little identities and gaining personal independance iykwim?

That said i do think 6 is a little too old, but if the child is happy then what does it matter i guess?

why not?? I personally think its a little creepy but if the mum wants to do it then fair play to her.
