Making jewelry...

I need a hobby!

So im thinking of making jewelry, things like chunky beads, Links of london type bracelets, kids hello kitty necklaces and bracelets.

Ive got a 14 and 4 year old daughter so using them for inspiration lol

Where do people buy there stuff from? do you make a decent profit? is it very time consuming?

Sorry about all the Qs

My sister went through a phase of making jewellery, just use google to search for guides, tools and chains/beads and they will all come up. She also used eBay and a local bead shop called Bead Time. It's in Ashford Middlesex - I don't know if you live near there?

This is a good guide website http://www.how-to-make-beaded-jewelry.com/

I got most of my stuff from ebay. There are wholsale shops about but you have to order a lot to get the benefits. As for time, you spend the amount of time you want to doing it, not sure that makes sense? the more you make the more you can sell but the profit isnt huge unless you have a completly new product.

Things that make the most are things you could sell at a school fete or similar. Key rings, phone charms, friendship bracelets are nearly always good sellers.

Hope this helps but feel free to ask some more questions if your interested.

Sam xx
