Do you think I should complain?

So my mum came round today and because I had brought Aidan a Ben ten football on monday I thought it would be nice to go to the local park near us. It has a huge field and a little park in the corner. I have never been there since I have moved in and I thought it could be a regular thing from now on. But when I got there the sight that met my eyes was appaulling.
There was
  1. Glass on the path and on the grass
  2. Dog poo everywhere
    • And the play park. What one? There was an old swing frame and the rest was burnt to a crisp

I was shocked and disgusted. You go on to some of the posher estates and the grass is perfect . Bins for rubbish, benches and an amazing play park. But I am starting to think because it's a council estate we get second best!!

Do I have grounds for a complaint and should I
xx

I'm not sure its a case of you getting second best but sometimes the youths in the area just trash the park.

I would certainly raise this issues but if its an ongoing problem with youths in the area ruining it for the kids then its unlikely they would do anything. We don't even have a park near me!

I didn't even know there was until someone metioned it. Hmm it proberly was the kids orund here as they seem to be a law un to themselves. Shame they have to ruin it for the younger ones. I cannot wait to get away from here
It was alright when I first moved in but now its going down hill fast

I think you should hun. It's only people raising these issues that can contribute to change. Parks are the responsibility of the local council, you so should contact them or your local councillor. To find out your local councillor, you can use www.writetothem.com

Yeah definately...I would ring Environmental health department (usually through the council) and complain about the dog shite! That is a pet hate of mine GRRRRRRR and about the glass!! Its digusting!
I rang about the paths outside my house and someone came along and picked it all up! There was absolutely loads of it though it was a joke!! Still hasn't changed anything though! They still allow their dogs to do it

People have no respect!!!!!

I don't know what you could do about the park itself though I'm afraid just moan about the lack of equiptment and the state of it maybe Sorry I have no clue on that one!
If its prone to vandalism though the chances are they wont do sod all I'm afraid! Then you have the issue of funds ect!

Most parks are like that tbh....
I doubt you'd get anywhere with a complaint. It's just the way the world is now. There's no respect for things like that from youths.

I would complain.

i absolutly despise people that dont clean up after their dog!, and i have 2 myself.
The park i walk my dog is well maintained, lovely plants, a seperate section for kids to play where dogs arent allowed, a play area thats currently being replaced, yet the big main part where dogs are allowed is disgusting.
I always pick up after my dogs and i just wish others would show the same consideration.
I also hate it when people let their dogs off lead, and have no control over them. I usually do a few laps of the whole park on the path and even their its full of dog mess.
