i work in a large supermarket so i either buy something or get something out the staff canteen, we have a toaster,microwave, panini maker so can make most things!

I used to spend a fortune when I was working! I worked in a kitchen too....so had the choice of ANYTHING!

But still ended up at Greggs or one of the ither bakers/sandwich shops in town!!! Oh and sometimes Subway!

It is SO expensive buying food in when your at work, even if its just sandwiches. Really you spend about a fiver a day

so add that up over a month ...

My boss pays £3.00 for a jacket potato from our sandwich van that comes around, and today i made x2 jackets with butter and tuna/sweetcorn for £2.80

Madness, but its easier to just buy in sometimes. We only do on a Friday which was renamed "dirty Friday"

its bad how much people spend on somethings from a van and you can get them for so much cheaper!! our staff canteen sells things really cheap, like a sandwhich in the store would cost £2.50 we would get it for 75p!

I normally take either a sandwich, soup, salad, noodles or whatever I can find from home xx

when I was at work I used to go through phases of making my own food at work (anything from a re-heating some pasta, to poached eggs or spaghetti on toast)...but then I would still chuck money away on the food vans for hot sausage rolls or pasties or cake!! I also introduced my boss to the meal deals at boots so quite often he would send me out to get them...which was ok coz it got me out of the building (and away from the customers)
My boss always bought us 'bad' food on fridays though (re-named "fat fridays"...sometimes fast food like BK or KFC, or fish 'n' chips, but usually got Pizza Hut delivered coz it meant we didnt have to go anywhere to get it. haha

i suspect I will have to start making my own food more regularly when I go back though, to save the pennies

I still expect my "fat fridays" though...

if i stay for lunch which is only on a monday i have chips, or a ham roll from work, OH takes ham rolls to work or £2 for a bacon roll from a man that makes food out side in like a van.
