Making a Claim/complaint against the Council?

Does any one know how I might file a claim against the council in hope to recover the costs of my iCandy Cherry. Do I just send them a letter with my complaint asvising that i wish for them to compensate with the money for a new pram??

My husband was coming to meet me on Friday from work so we could walk to the garage to pick our car up from being serviced.

The roads around our area are really bad with ruts and pot holes so as he has pushed the pram down the ramp on the pavement onto the road to cross over the front wheel on the pram got stuck in a rut, this then snapped the wheel clean off, i thought at first i'd be able to get a new part from i-candy or send it for repair but its actually snapped the frame so is now no way repairable.

I am so angry, angry with chris also as i can imagine he wasnt exactly gentle when it got stuck in the rut but if they repaired the roads as they should then this wouldnt of happened. The prams only 15 months old and only gets used twice a week!!

I have pictures of the road and my pram but just unsure on how to get the ball rolling.

x

I would complain to i candy rather than the council, see if you can get a replacement as prams simply are not meant to break that easily.
You could try writing to the council but i dont think you will get very far. xxx

You might not get anything though as I know here that you can only claim if there has already been a complaint about a fault and they have not repaired it in reasonable time. I think now with the pot hole situation that time might be extended.
