I hadnt even heard of these dolls until i lost my baby boy. I wasnt sure what to make of them at first but became very interested in them, although i havnt had one made to look like my little boy as i personally dont think that it would be right for me (i did think long and hard about it though) i just think for me it would have upset me more as it is a doll and not my baby! but other ladies who have lost babies do find alot of comfort in these dolls which is great.
I decided in the end i would like to learn how to make them and thats what i started to do and i love the hobby.
I dont see the harm in people collecting these dolls.. what harm is it doing to anyone, people collect all kinds of things, i think treating the doll like a real baby and taking it out in a buggy pretending its real is a little too much but hey.. again, what harm is it doing to anyone els?? none at all and if it makes that person happy then why shouldnt they!
