To be honest with you, I think that's a really horrible thing to say.

And to the people who think it's weird how some people "play" with them, I honestly can not say what I would it have done had it ever turned out that I couldn't have kids. I would be devastated, and may well have turned to something like that for comfort. You never really know what you might do until you're put in that situation. I really feel sad for people who have to use reborn dolls as a substitute, and would never judge them as weird or freaky.
I'd adopt, or even get a dog or a cat.. you can't care for a doll. I think there's deep psycological issues with someone who tries to 'look after' a doll. Weird.

I agree, they are very very freaky. You do wonder who is buying them.
But, it is sad that there are women out there who feel they need to have these dolls to fill a void xx

OOOo i watched a documentary about women who buy these, it was just plain wrong! One went to America to pick up her new "baby" spent hundreds of £'s on buying it new clothes and even took a carseat to bring it home in!

I cant look at them, even those dolls that people have sitting in their livingroom dressed in victorian style clothes freak me right out!

I don't think there's anything wrong with people who collect them although they're not to my taste! However, the people who try and fill a void or replace someone sorry but i find that a bit disturbing
