jackie.d, those are gorgeous! Very well done.

The baby ones aren't too creepy, if it was like a horror story and came to life it's still a baby and couldn't do much, eh?
But that older doll on the link... OMG... it could get you....

i saw that programme she even showed it to him on tjhe webcam, freaky stuff. I remember the one who received one in the post and it was slightly damaged on the back of the head and she wailed like it actually was a real baby "theyve hurt her" it really did freak me out

My SIL has 2!! They are called micheal and emily and they 'sleep' in a cot in her room. She carries them round the house with her and redresses them etc. When holly was born she even asked for some newborn sized nappies for them
She hasn't taken them out i dont think but she does treat them like there real... like she would just put one down, she has to 'rock it to sleep' and put it back in the cot... WEIRD!!!!!!

She hasnt played with them as much since holly and her cousin lucus were born cos she has real babies now, (althought i dont take holly to see her very much) but its just FREAKY!!!!!

To be honest with you, I think that's a really horrible thing to say.

And to the people who think it's weird how some people "play" with them, I honestly can not say what I would it have done had it ever turned out that I couldn't have kids. I would be devastated, and may well have turned to something like that for comfort. You never really know what you might do until you're put in that situation. I really feel sad for people who have to use reborn dolls as a substitute, and would never judge them as weird or freaky.

I don't like them personally a doll is a doll, supposed to be cute for kids etc, my nan likes dolls at 76! but thats because she has bought them as shes lost her ones from a child 60 years ago, but these ones kinda scare me a little.x

Well, I think for a lot of these people, it's a ''collector's thing'' and I doubt all the people buying them are treating them as baby substitutes. I would bet a lot are into them and like the artistic value in them, and collecting them might be their hobby and whatnot (like collecting stamps or whatever). It's big business, that's for sure. Those dolls go for a lot of money.
