I think some of the baby ones are nice, my aunt had lost several babies in utero and could never have children - when older she used to have a doll in a pram in her room. Its very sad.
This 'older child' however is quite frightening, it looks like it might be suffering from chronic illness and it has the face, not of a five year old but a toddler. It puts me in mind of the exorcist. It has lots of bids already though...

I collect asian ball jointed dolls, and while I don't like reborn dolls, I can appreciate the work that must go into them to make them look so realistic.

While I think it's quiet creepy looking, it must have taken hours to make! I bet it's worth more then the price it's at right now.

I saw that documentary about people who like reborn dolls, and thought it was very sad. :'( I do think that's the more extreme side of it though. I bet there are loads of people out there that buy them just because they love dolls.

Its the 5 year old one thats so creepy, looks so realistic but what a creepy expression! The face is a bit young too so extra creep factor. And a bit excessive with all the posses and outfits.
That aside I do appreciate the skill involved, artistically its incredible.

And Jackie those are so well done! The sleeping one especially looks so real!
