I just got off the phone with OH's mother. He has to go to court. When he moved from California to Missouri there was an unpaid bill left over, it went to collections and now they are taking him to court, I am so upset.

I just want this to go smoothly, I know he isn't going to jail or anything but it is going to take up all of our finances for a while.

Y wld they send him to court y dnt they jst send him the bill to pay it off i think there overly exagerating this but i hope it all goes well

They had trouble finding him, so they couldn't send a bill, they still do't have our address, they talked to his mother.

We are going to try to pay the bill off but unfortunately it has gained a ton of interest, so wish us luck.

Where did the unpaid bills go to before they tracked him? Where/how did they track him?

It may be possible to contact the company he owes money to (not sure how it works over there) be nice and begging, explain (maybe add a bit more) on where it went wrong - see if they will retract the collections company & make a payment plan wit them OR explain the situation and offer the full amount owed MINUS the charges etc
