I think it has been really false and unrealistic. Do they really let you go home and call you into hospital the following day to deliver the baby? It just seemed very unrealistic in parts.

I'm fortunate to never have had any experience so I couldnt possibly comment. I know there are others on here who have.
It might be an idea to try not to be quite so forthright if you havent been in that situation.

They do call you back for inductions. Not 100% sure about in that case but I think that's how it happens. She should've told Liam, that bothered me.

I think stress caused it.

I didn't watch it. Not because it worries me particularaly, but more because Ill cry like a girl and I wont be able to stop. I love Maria!

I know it's a difficult thing to watch but I definately think it's a good thing they show things like this. Before I got pregnant, I would never have known how long to wait for the baby to move or anything. Even now, unless I'd been a member on this board I still wouldn't have known. My midwife has never said anything about movements to me. Hopefully it educates people and can prevent some cases of this happening.

All the same, very sad

Yes they do let you go home depending on circumstances Some body my mam knows had to go through this traumatic ordeal over Christmas & actually wasnt allowed to give birth until the new year due to staff shortages which I found disgusting so she had to carry her baby for an extra 2.5 weeks knowing that the poor little one had been lost.

Any way back to corrie, I cant beleive poor thing cant face to tell Liam and gives birth with out him knowing. Poor girl.

I watched it (wished I hadn't) made me so sad as it happens in real life. I think Maria didn't tell Liam as she is afraid of losing him......

Very sad and heartbreaking storyline.

Noooo!

Thats just awful

- Is that another spoiler

Anyway - Its a sad story line but people scream when its so unlife like and then when it is people sigh then say how unrealistic it was which to be honest they can't win - I guess soaps can't have too much detail at the end of the day. I watched it and it was not too bad but for anyone who has ever lived this cruel reality it can't have been good to watch with no warning because had this thread not started I would never have known that was the next storyline to come!

*hugs* to you UVLollypop x
