Ok, someone that I'm close to has just bought a computer - this someone is a blatent technophobe and TBH can't even use her mobile phone properly.... so, she calls me about it, which is fair enough and I'm happy to help.
Then last night she gets connected to the internet.
Now, like most people, I don't answer the phone when I'm busy, - I listen to the answering machine after I finish doing what I'm doing, whether it's burning my tea or
so last night she calls me, I'm busy burning me tea inbetween
coz I'm a moody cow and hurting. There's no answer so she calls again and again til someone answers. Then DH (who has a phobia pf phones so doesn't use the damn things!) answers the phone, answers her questions (she asked if she could use an email address before she set up the email account!!
) and all is done. 90 seconds later she calls again, and again and again and again til I answer the phone (each time leaving a blank message on my answering machine) she wants to know what the url for hotmail is!
This morning I was up til 6am coz I was hurting. (bit flared up - can you tell? lol)
Everyone knows that I
funny hours and that if they leave a message on my machine I call back when I'm awake and not stoned on painkillers....and of course when i can actually hold a phone (which I can't always do!)
Not her, 11am this morning she calls again, and again, and again, - 7 bloody times til I answer the phone - each time leaving a blank message on my answering machine!!
I finally give in. I answer the bloody phone. SHe's woke me up now anyway.
Now she's in a huff cause I said to her that my hands feel like I poured boiling water over them then scratched the hell out of them, I didn't get to bed til 6 and not to
til later still.... and when she asked if she woke me I said 'yeh, you called over and over til you got an answer, I have an answering machine for a reason'
How annoying!!
