i want 4 kids by the time I'm 32-35. I'm only 22 at the moment and will be TTC in June (NTNP atm) so hopefully I'll have 2 babys before I'm 24 Ideally I'd like 2-3 years between each child My OH was an only child and was lonely and hated christmasses and family holidays cos it was so boring so he defo wants 2 or 3. I'm going to push for 4 though LOL

I'm an only child (well, raised as one anyway, long story) and I have to say I never really missed having a sibling around. I always saw my friends fight with their siblings and it sucked. I don't think it's cruel at all to have only one child as frankly, how can you miss something you don't even know? I never missed it. I'm sure there are only children who possibly do feel they missed out, but I don't think one can generalize it to everyone, and it certainly didn't apply to me.

I plan to have two children (this one being my second) and I'm really happy with that. If I ended up just having one I would be perfectly happy too. I don't want to have more than two as, sort of related to what you were talking about, I'd like to have a lot of love and time for each one and personally don't think I could do that to *my personal satisfaction* having more than one. There are other reasons I have for sticking to two as well but those are the biggest ones.

I have 6 brothers and 2 sisters and I only ever wanted one. I have two little boys and wouldnt change it for the world, there is 9years 9months between them and I love it. I always felt when I was younger that my mother and father never had enough time to get round the whole family, dont get me wrong we where loved and wanted for nothing, but it was very hard to get a one-on-one with either my mother or father.

I have a brother and a sister. In my whole life, I've got on well with my sister for about 2 years probably. The rest of the time, we've hated each other. But she's weird.. She's 2 and a bit years younger than me.
Anyway, I get on fab with my little brother and we've got a nearly 6 year age gap. So I'd like quite a bit age gap between my children if I have more than one!
I think IF I ever decide I want more children, I'll only want one more. Three was a weird number when we were younger!

I'm the eldest of 2. My brother is almost 4 years younger than me.
Both myself and OH would love to have 4 children. However, I've not had 1 yet so the jury's out on how I'll feel once we actually are parents!!!

In my family I'm the oldest..

I'm 1989, my sister is 1991, my brother is 1993. We aren't spaced too far apart but we have VERY different personalities, interests, and lives.. so the distance between us seems further than it is?

Like I have always been more mature, shy/quiet, liked reading, more academically inclined, I had boyfriends and a job and went to college.. never really got into trouble at school or with the police, now I have a baby..

My sister never has a job, or a boyfriend, she cares mostly about partying with friends, she hasn't graduated high school (and was due to last June), never goes to school really, has never been into reading or anything like that, more socializing and soccer.. she's very loud and high-energy.. self-absorbed.. lol.

My brother was spoiled rotten by my dad because he's the baby and his only son, he has ADHD and was given tons of help as a kid with homework, I swear my mom would sit at the table with him all night doing it, my mom STILL helps him do his projects honestly lol.. he works, plays video games with friends and goes out with friends every night. He is going through that stupid teenage boy "tough guy" phase right now which drives me nuts.

I wished to be an only child a lot. I still do wish I was sometimes! lol.

I want 2 maximum, my OH would love 4, but it's just not financially feasible, he thinks I'm being materialistic but I want certain things for my kids that cost money. IE: post secondary educations, a chance to play sports and do extracurriculars, a couple of vacations, their own bedrooms.

I would really be happy with 1.

I have a big extended family but I don't see or speak to any of them really! My Dad has 7 sisters and One brother who passed away in infancy, My Mum has 5 sisters and a brother. I would never say never but I'd have to meet my knight in shinning Armour before I think about another

Oh and I have an older Sister and a little brother

I'm the youngest of 4. I'd like two children, definitely not more(!) I'd like to adopt the second child though, from somewhere where they wouldn't have a chance in hell of a decent life, or even a life at all. Infanticide is rife in some countries, especially where boys are favoured. If adopting doesn't look like a likely option, then we'll try to have another one of our own.
