My friend lost everything

my friends house they were renting burnt down saturday night her and her kids were home watching tv when she smelt smoke and went out the back to see were it was coming from when she saw it coming from under the back of the house she rushed back in to get the kids house and within minutes everything was destroyed they have three little girls aged 7-4 and 15months they are now staying with family as they have to buy everything from scratch as they had no contents insurance but they were given an emergency payment for clothes so at least they have something.

Oh bloody hell!

Money doesn't buy some things you lose but house insurance is so very important.

I hope they get over this with much support from family & friends above all thankful nobody was hurt!

At least they all got out alive, I know its hard losing all the sentimental stuff, we had a fire in gloucester a while back, all three kids and their dad died, it was horrible just the mum survived.
Really makes you value what you have.

Oh how sad - I'm so glad everyone got out OK though!!

I am absolutely petrified about fire - it's my worst fear...I think it's because when I was little I slept while a neighbours house burned down and didn't smell the smoke or hear the commotion, it totally freaked me out

xx
