I'm Currently Feeling: | Anyone from Oxford area? I've been out of the UK for over 4 years but I'm planning on returning in a few months for a couple of years. I'm originally from Somerset but I'm looking to move to the Oxford area. My husband has to be around an hour from an airport, and I figure that from Oxford that Birmingham would be closer than London. Can anyone suggest good areas to live? I'd like to be close to Oxford but don't mind being in a village as long as it's connected and there's at least a shop there. Thanks! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Me! Me! Me!
We live in Cowley, which isn't the nicest of areas ... but Summertown is BEAUTIFUL! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks for your help guys. My sister suggested Summertown too, and also Witney - what's Witney like? It's obviously more of a town than a village, but I want to take a college course so it's handy for that! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yeah Whitney is ok, bit scruffy at places though! Oxford is fantastic for colleges, Oxford & Cherwell Valley College is meant to be fantastic! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | my family are all from Oxfordshire, Witney is ok, but Ducklington a small village connected to it is soooo pretty, you get all the amenities of being close to Witney but avoiding the scruffy parts!
ooo and my auntie runs one of the oldest hair and beauty salons there....highly recommended!! |
