I understand what you are saying. I am 35 and i have a son that will be 18 next month, and he is a senior this year in high school . Where in the hell did the years go.

I am going on 39 in 9 days and having another baby!

Old is when your kids are graduating and you are almost retiring.

My best friend is 36 and has a 19 year old and a 12 year old. I wish at times I had children earlier, but I just wasn't ready.

I remember during my high school grad looking at a girl's parents and thinking, "God, I never want to be old with white hair when my kids graduate." Well, looks like I may be.

My mom was 42 when she had me, 60 when I graduated!

Well, hon, I will be dying my hair until I am too old to do it for myself.

Hope I have $20,000 for a facelift by then too. Oh, don't forget about a boob job as well.

Seriously though, my mom is 20 years older than me so I suppose I was used to having a young parent.

Times have changed though and more women are having babies at a later stage in life. Mind you, I haven't met anyone personally though.

My mom didn't do the boob job but did dye her hair until 7 years ago or so. And she always looked very young for her age, no one ever thought she was the age she actually was (until after her brother passed away at least).

What's really funny is that Stan's mom had his little sister when she was 42 as well, so he has a 5 year old sister--completely backwards from my family where I'm the youngest )

Seriously, I am shocked to be having a baby at 39 but as I tell Dan, there's a reason for this baby, it is a blessing and kids are what makes a family no matter what age the parents are.
