Its disgusting, the hospital offered them 10,000 to settle out of court.

No body would put a price on my childs head!

Let hope she never works as a nurse again.

10 like thats ok!

They deserve to be compensated for their loss but whats the price tag for your kids these days as you say. I would certainly claim for compensation & place it to good use with my other kids if I had any the best compensation for me personally would be to know that nurse never works in that field or alike again.

Do you know when the court date to settle the matter is?

THE INQUEST

In inquest heard that Courtney Marie Davies, nine, was rushed by ambulance to Pinderfields Hospital on August 12 following a seizure.

Wakefield Coroner's Court heard how a bout of gastro-enteritis, made worse by her condition, had weakened her and caused her to become increasingly ill leading up to the seizure.

The inquest also heard how the ambulance team gave her treatment before rushing her to Pinderfields, where doctors took over.

She was given doses of adrenaline to help keep her heart going, but it was later discovered those doses were only half the amount she should have been given.

But after expert witness evidence showing that levels of the drug had reached the parts of her body where it was needed, coroner David Hinchliffe ruled the extra adrenaline would not have saved her.

He said: "This hasn't in any way caused or contributed to her death.

"A mistake was made, but was realised and the hospital fully admitted this. No attempt was made to cover it up.

"I am entirely satisfied that although it is this horrible infection that has caused the problem, it was so devastating because Courtney had this syndrome."

He formally recorded a verdict of death from natural causes.
