Taking my driver's license test in 1 hr, I'm scared - Page 2

Oh my I feel your pain!!! I originally got my permit (passing a written test allowing me to drive with one other passenger in the car to practice) when I was 16... 8 years ago! I kept renewing it for about 2 or 3 years, putting off taking my actual driver's test for my license, then just let it expire because I HATE driving. Well, now, 8 years later, I have no choice, I NEED a license, so I'm re-taking the permit test this coming monday, and then for a few weeks I'll practice driving, and then I gotta take the driving test... it makes me soooo nervous to be judged by someone else and I feel like everything I know will just fly out of my brain!

The NZ system is fairly similar. I'm just now taking lessons for my restricted permit (not allowed to drive between 10pm and 5am, passengers limited to other licensed people or my children). I hate it sooo much. I'm 30 and when I lived in the US I had learners permits in 3 different states and never got my license there (I have a bit of a phobia of driving). Hopefully I won't have too many more lessons before I can take the test. I could get a full license after 6 months of getting this one (since I'm so old

) but not sure I'll bother.
Doing it now as I need to be able to take the baby to the doctor if OH is at work.

I don't know why I suck at this so much. I'm not a dangerous driver, in fact, they think I am too cautious/granny

Thank you so much, I finally passed!!! LOL.

The examiner's daughter was pregnant and so he spent the whole time talking about how excited he was to be a grandpa, LOL, good thing I got my bump out!
