how many this must have happened to

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...-yearning.html

I know there is a lot of criticism for single mums on benefits etc these days but I just feel glad there are better options nowadays than the mother and baby having to be separated.

There are lots of complicated situations so I don't want to start a debate about it, but this just made me feel so sad

Oh that is heartbreaking She did such a selfless thing. I don't know if I could ever give up Amelie, even if it was the best thing for her which makes the mother in that story a much better person than me.

That article brought me to tears. That was so sad. I hope one day she can hopefully reunite with her son. I haven't ever been in this situation before; however I can only speculate that If I were the son I would want to meet my birth mother.

How terribly terribly sad..............I think tho, if I was in her position, as in total and utter desperation with no end, I would do the same thing. I would want Emma to have as best a life as possible, whether that is with me or not. I would still love her the same, I just wouldnt have her.

Stories like that a terribly sad. There was NZ drama shown on tv recently with an almost exactly the same story line.

omg thats so sad and such a selfless thing to do.

I dont think i could ever do that but i guess you never no untill your in that situation

My uncles son has just been adopted and his mum wrote a letter for him for when his 18 his new parents are to give to him, and it includes our names and who we are to him if he ever wants to find us but no contact details.. I dont no the full facts of the letter its such a good thing that you now have open adoptions if wanted and a much better chance of finding mum/dad or you child or being able to give letter with info for them to find you if they want to.
