Omg the gas board

my mum and dad could smell gas outside the back door... mum rang gas board came out and said there was a leak at the bottom of the drive it was down to cold weather damaging the pipes they have been coming out every day to check its not getting any worse.... they told my mum they would just drill a small hole and put a pipe in the damage....they came out this morning and tested and the leak is almost all the way up the drive and in the house so they have to sort it today but b/c they have left it...its got worse and now they are gonna have to dig the drive way up my mum is furious lol they have said they will replace it but shes mad b/c they will only replace what they took up and the tarmac will be patchy so my mums worked her self up about it and is going nuts poor mummy i told her well at least your not gonna get blown up you sausage lol

at calling your mum a sausage but shes right they should replace it all, it is their fault they could of fixed it when it was only a small problem
but thats gas board for you, glad it didnt end up worse though x

hahaha she is a sausage lol thing might have just got worse for her they cant find where the gas pipes go they think they run up the centre of her house and then branch off in the middle of the house so it could go under her garage too pmsl she is bloody livid now they might have dig some more of the garden up and maybe the garage and who knows they may have to do summert in the house too.... they have put a vent in for now to keep the fumes away from the house after digging half the drive lol and when they find out where the pips are they will decide what to do x

I would be mad too, hope they sort it without too much damage.

lol i just think its funny cause my mum gets her self in some right huffs and gives her self hot flushes shes sooo funny lol x

Typical gas board/council/you name it.... They try to patch up the damage rather than repairing it in hopes that they dont have to pay a bomb to fix it and take the time out to have to do the repair...In one funny sense they just made their job a tonne harder, as long as your mum doesn't get charged for it..some companies charge you if it is on or outside your property...sick world..

i think they have said its not her fault so they have to foot the bill i bloody hope sooo other wise i take bak all the laughing i have done oooopys lol xx
