as some of you know, we have students living in the flat above ours and they can often be the neighbours from hell - literally!
Anyways, there was loadsa banging at their front door, so DH went to see what was going on....and there was no one there just the door banging open and shut, then we heard loadsa running up and down the stairs and thought summit really wasn't right and it probably wasn't them lot playing silly buggers...
So, we called the police thinking that maybe someone had tried to get in and DH had disturbed them or something, just as the police arrived there was a knock at the door - it was one of the students and her BF from upstairs (ironically those ones aren't too bad...) asking if we'd seen or heard anything cause they thought someone had tried to get in.
There's all this panic at the door, the student lass and her BF are panicking summit wicked and the shrubs look like they've been damaged, as if someone had fell on them.
They tell us how they saw someone with a skinhead going into the flat and he's ran upstairs and all the rest of it and they think that when the boyfriend had returned, he'd spooked them and whoever it was had jumped out of the window onto the shrubs.
So, PC Plod goes upstairs with them to investigate.....
It turns out.... the boyfriend went to the shop without locking the door, - he'd just left it open and shoved coats behind it so that it appeared to be closed when really it wasn't....that's why the door was banging - it was slamming open and shut. (which is quite annoying cause when their door slams it rickoshays throughout the house and hurts!) The skinhead that he saw going into their flat was my DH coming back into our flat (the doors are side by side and when this lad was at the top of the street, it looked like it could've been either door - DH shaved all his hair off on Saturday so as far as they were concerned he still had long hair) and the running up and down the stairs that we heard was the BF running up and down the stairs in a panic thinking that someone was in that flat.
Oh well...all fun and games in student city....
