Red face

Worried

Some of you may laugh and some of you may relate....

But Im worried...

I never had my dog Storm fixed because I did not want to regret doing it and then deciding that I would love to bread her to keep her Awesome line going. So under watch from our Vet, I waited a few Heat cycles before making a haste decision.

Well since then, you all know that we got a second Boxer Athena. Since then, my life is like a Boxer Circus... Full of Laughter and Crazyness. Would not trade this fun for anything. Well, I had to make the decision to have Storm fixed. There is alot of reasons for this but the Number 1 reason is her health and well being. So Friday at 8 AM I am taking her in to be fixed. (she is 3 now) I am Freaking Out. What if something goes wrong. And they stongly recommend that we leave her there over night for recovery. I am so sad that she has to stay at a place with out me. Now I have taken her to this Vet since Day One so she knows everyone there, but this is my Storm. ( My kid ) We will be picking her up at 2:30 on Saturday and bringing her home. Home to a Crazy Puppy...... this should be interesting. I will be off on Monday and Tuesday to be with Storm and to make sure she is resting and not jumping. All this I can handle. But Im still nervouse about the surgery. And she is just a Dog. I can only imagine what I will be like when someday it is my turn to be a Mom. Im going to be one of those Moms "OMG, Your nose is running..... (Histarics) LOL Anyways... you can all laugh at me now for venting about a normal procedure on my dog....... I now it will be ok, I just cant help but worry.....

Aww honey

I know just how you feel.

I have three furbabies, and I always panic is something goes wrong.

My Adult female got bitten by a red back spider
(kind of like a black widow - just as venemous)
And I totally freaked, I was crying uncontrollably at the vets
Had three assistant nurses trying to calm me down...

Luckily she pulled through!

Good luck Storm! I'm sure she'll do fine, you will be a bigger
mess than she will be I'm sure!

Aww, I think everything will be ok! It's hard though as they are our babies

We got our female boxer given to us when she was 8 months and she was already fixed. We were kind of sad about it as it would have been nice to at least breed her once.

For Storm!

Completely normal. I cried when I took Jinx in to be fixed--and he didn't have to stay overnight.

It's normal to worry, but she'll be just fine. It's MUCH healthier for her that you're having her fixed anyway...no risk of cancers of the girlier parts, no chance of an un-planned breeding, etc. Besides, there are just too many pups in shelters. I hope the surgery goes well and that her recovery is nice and quick!
