Something to keep the cat off the sofa/furniture

Anyone know any successful tips/products?

Fed up of my cat lying on the futon - cleaning it after only a day is a nightmare not only that in the same room she jumps behind the curtains leaving her fur all up the sides again a bloody nightmare to clean & remove her fur.

Really need to control this

I've never used this but I've heard that they make a bitter apple spray that cats can't stand the smell off, supposed to help keep them off of furniture.

My cat also did this,I had to clean my living room furniture every day...
Now I spray them with this apple thing(the thing Vickie mentioned),it doesn't smell,it's harmless and effective(I sound like a commercial)...

It's supposed to work really well on cats, which I'd believe with the way my cats reacts to the smells of apples (and other fruits)

Well,I don't spray it all the time and sometimes when it wears off she'll climb up but when it's fresh it very much works...
And you have for all kinds of animals, there is even one for horses,it's very common for people to use it for their cats...

Hi Wobbles,

i have no advice as i gave up on this years ago.. lol! I now have 2 year old brothers who are both longhaired- my house is a fur palace and has to be de-furred at a regular basis... i'm thinking about taking out stock in that company that makes sticky paper lint rollers, i cant leave the house w/o a quick swipe... lol
