What is your hangover remedy and are they really worth it?

My husband and I were out last night and I didn't have that much to drink but I still have a very sore head. I just said to hubby that I don't see the point anymore in making myself feel rotten, especially now that I am a mummy. I said I was going to just have the odd social drink now and he said I was being daft!

Also, just out of nosiness, what is your fave hangover cure? Mine used to be irn-bru but I can't stand it now. xx

I alwayshave 2 paracetamol and a pint of water before bed. If that doesn't work then it's McDonalds fries and a can of cherry coke. You get the headache from dehydration so you need the salt and sugar to absorb the fluids you put back in. Failling that, neck some Lucozade or dioralyte.

Be very careful about taking aceteminophen if you've been drinking. I don't know what the active ingredient in paracetemol is, but in North America, aceteminophen is known as tylenol.
Aceteminophen causes irreparable damage to your liver when mixed with alcohol. I'd stick with anything to hydrate you and skip the painkillers. If you must, ibuprofen is a safer choice.

Ibuprofen and a pint of water before bed, then in the morning a glass bottle of irn-bru and bacon butties!

I dont drink much any more, I cant handle the hangovers anymore especially having the girls to look after at the same time! x

Paracetamol is safe to take with alcohol as long as you dont exceed 2000 mg a day.
