New Job Help!

Ok...here's the deal. I've been looking for a job for 2 1/2 years. I finally found one today in the newspaper. It's an Asst Animal Control Officer. I have all the qualifications, etc. The only thing...I'm 7 months pregnant. Do y'all think I should still apply to it...or should I not cause I'm pregnant and I'm going to have to take maternity leave shortly? This is TOTALLY my dream job, exactly what I've been looking for...now I'm pregnant and don't know what to do! HELP!!!

You know, I was going to say no. But, why not try for it? One never knows what might happen

The only thing that I have my doubts about is that they may not like the fact that you are pregnant and they may not want to train you for the job as you will be leaving on mat leave anyhow.

As an employer, it truly is tough when you train someone and then they leave 6 months later, for example. You spend your time on them and when they don't stick around, that's hours and money spent.

Yet, while I was trying to get pregnant with my first I applied for a job and during the interview I told him that we were trying to get pregnant. I was open and honest, probably shouldn't have been, but got the job. Shortly after, I did get pregnant.

You just never know until you try. I say go for it

Apply for it.If it's your dream job then you shouldn't let it slide through your fingers...
You never know what might happen and if you don't do it you'll spend a lot of time wondering...
