Theres no reason why you can't have it in the bath as well. My aunt had to have a home birth (didn't make it to hospital) and she just did it on the lounge room floor on towels.

I wondered the same thing! I dont want the miather of a birthing pool, putting it up ect and Ella wanting to swim in it ha! So I was wondering well where else would I give birth! I think probaby the lounge floor on lots of sheets ect or the bed.

I gave birth on the front room floor, brand new cream carpet! But it was protected with towels and not a drop of blood went on the floor during birth nor on my John Wayne walk to the bathroom upstairs!

The past few weeks Ive been thinking a similar thing...we live in a rented house and our sofas and carpets are both cream. If my waters break in the house how the hell do I get them out? We have a £700 deposit tied up in this house! lol
