I actually said to Chris a couple of days ago 'Have they found that little girl yet?' I couldn't even remember her name.....how terrible is that?

Its defo all to do with class, the Mcanns are "upper class" proffessionals "big Tax payers" (Upper class something else IMO....won't even write what I think of their stupidity!)

I don't know the in's & out's of how Shannon went missing (partly cos I never get half a chance to watch the News anymore) but also because of the lack of media coverage!


What I'd like to know is what if it was the other way around?

What if shannon went missing on a family holiday because her parents or parent had gone and left her in the apartment while they went out to get pissed? What would the media have made of that? I can imagine the headlines 'Child missing while benefit scrounging mum is out spending our tax money!'
And I bet if Maddie had gone missing while playing out or walking to the shop for sweets in this country there would have still been a bigger media coverage for maddie!

Whole "class" thing annoys the hell out of me!!

Their both inncocent kids, both deserve the same media coverage and I just hope they both get found!

When Maddy went missing I immediately thought of a girl from darlington who's child got taken from her bathroom through a window and got slated for it, when she hadn't really done anything wrong. Yes, maybe you shouldn't leave a window open when your childs alone in a room, but you don't honestly expect anyone to be desperate enough to reach through and take your child do you?

But again, she got really bad publicity because she lived in a council house and didn't have a well paid job.

I'm not saying that the publicity for Maddy or any other missing children has been wrong, but surely there should be some sort of standard?

Exactly.It's not bad that media was all over maddy's disappearance because that little girl should be found but Shannon also deserves it and it's terrible that nobody is interested in her well being because her mother is not rich!
