i see some sort of point she is trying to get across but the qoutes such as:

The problem is that Shannon Matthews isn't as pretty as Maddie McCann

see i read it as her trying to stick up for shannon,

as blunt as it is, its is a fact that shes not as pretty as maddie, all children are beautiful, not not all are pretty, sorry i have to say it.

i think shes getting at because shes not rich and not pretty that she hasnt had loads of media coverage and shes saying thats wrong, i thought she was getting at the fact that no matter what a child looks like or where they come from, they should all get teh same attention if they go missing?

thats how i took it when i read it anyways

I see what she is doing and like some of the other girls i sort of agree with it. Dont get me wrong though the wording is harsh expecailly if it was the mother or any family reading it.

I read it as she was defending them, simply saying that the McCanns have more cash to splash out on big media coverage and they are a blonde blue eyed photogenic family (typical media stereotypes) and Shannon´s parents aren´t.

I don't think she was saying that Shannon is unimportant,I do think that she is sticking up for her and trying to say that media doesn't cover disappearences where the girl comes from a poor family or isn't a blonde girl and her parents didn't pay for expensive photographs of their daughter.

But that doesn't make her any less important than maddi.
It's sad that the whole world gets up on thier feet when a doctor's daughter gets missing but nobody lifts a finger for this girl.

Unfortunatly,it happens everywhere.
Elizabeth Smart is a white,blonde girl from a nice family who was kiddnapped and found 10 months later.Everybody was looking and they succeded.
But when a black girl was kiddnapped,nobody knew about it and she was found dead several months later...

The same example is with JonBenet Ramsey...They call it ''pretty white girl syndrome''
It pretty much says it all...
