Does anyone have any canvas bedroom furniture and did you find it smelt funny when you first got it? I got a canvas chest of draws to put baby clothes in but it stinks. I don't know if it's something they've used to treat the wood or fabric but I'm a little worried about putting baby clothes in it incase it's bad for him.

I got a cheap canvas wardrobe for the spare room as we were running out of room for stuff in our proper wardrobe in the bedroom. It did smell a little oddly I must admit but it soon went... Im not sure if it was just the material and the packaging but as I say it was only a dead cheap one from argos so I dont know if that is much help or not.

Edit - the smell soon went.. I just aired the room and had the windows open.
