2 kids v 1 kid

Was talking to Sonny yesterday about having another baby (we want to soon) and just wondering how some of you coped with the extra baby financially. Obviously, there are 2 instead of 1 so I do expect an increase, but at the same time we will be re-using the cot and everything else like that we have (bar pram, car seat and steriliser as we are buying new). With food, we are cooking for 3 anyway.. cooking for one more can't be that much of a problem since we have some left over anyway.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks

I never noticed a difference tbh as my child benefit/tax credits went up when my daughter was born...the only thing is xmas/birthdays e.tc but I tended to spend too much on my son so I have just sort of evened things out!!

Don't think its too bad going from 1 to 2 as you alredy have the big bits. Of course if money is very tight and you have them close together things like 2 lots of nappies, clothes etc can all add up. I never had more than 1 in nappies at a time and had 3 daughters so some clothes I used again particularly those from o to 12 months.

well,if you guys agreed and you have a stable home and experience and stuff from bethanie than you should do it.
I guess it won't affect your budget that bad because you don't have to buy furniture, and you have to buy your daughter new bed and things anyway...

lol! I like your way of thinking

Thanks for the comments all. We will have another baby whether we can afford it or not, and it has to be fairly soon as we wanted a 2-3 year age gap between the 2.. just want to know what im in for really.
