Am i a wimp??

We finally got the keys to the flat yesterday

and now its come to the time we can move in ive realised im terrified of gas..its got a gas boiler and radiators and Im terrified there is gonna be a gas leak!!
Anyone else not a huge fan of gas??Or am i being a wimp..lol.

I grew up with coal fires, and hate gas.
I think you will be fine, just make sure they are maintained.
You should have a sticker on your boiler that lets you know when it was last checked.
Also get the carbon monoxide detectors, then relax and enjoy your new flat.

If you have a gas leak you'll smell it right away. Carbon monoxide is far more dangerous IMO.

I agree about carbon monoxide..when i moved into my first flat i had central heating etc for the first time ever and didnt know anything about it..so didnt get any detectors, by doing that i nearly killed me and my Son..
Now i have 2 electric ones and the sticky pad ones everywhere and cant recommend them enough..they are up there with smoke alarms and essential things everyone should have..
As for a gas leak you can smell gas if it leaks so you will know about it..it took me a while to get used to it but now i am and i do trust it, or should i say i trust me to use it lol..x

when i turn my oven on to lite it once it on i run out of the kitchen thinking its gona blow up

the kids pull me the most weridis looks xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

hubby has used gas before in a house he has lived in...me im a gas virgin...lol...dreading it....hubby used to think i was nutty saying 'can you smell gas' in a village that had no gas piped into it...oh dear its gonna get worse
