it depends what condition your hair is in now, either way its going to be expensive but can be done at home, I went from black to blonde but it went through a variety of colours in between and it took me 3 months to get to the blonde I wanted. A hairdresser wouldn't do it straight away either.

omg don't do it. The only way to do it without getting orange hair or hair that breaks off/ falls out is to do it slowly via highlights.

Don't touch it, just let it grow out.

My hair cracked off in the back to like 1/2 an inch when I tried this a few years ago. I had to wear a hat for months

Ive had dyed black hair since i was about 13, when i was about 16 i decided i wanted pink hair so i had to get it dyed blonde. It takes months everytime you go to the hairdressers they lighten you hair by one shade and after 2-4 visits your hair will be blonde! Whatever you do dont do it at home, i tried to do the shade by shade dying at home a few months ago and ended up just dying my roots brown the rest was still black. One of my friends bleached her hair at home, she had the longest, thickest hair ive ever seen.It all fell out until it was up to her ears and very thin, she tried to get the hairdressers to fix it and they wouldnt go near her just kept telling her it was beyond repair! I ended up having blonde hair for about 3 months, its ridiculously hard to maintain i'd stick with black if i were you! If you really want blonde then buy a good wig, its cheaper and less hassle!!
