Help Please Girls - What would you call this outfit?

Hiya Girls

I have a German friend who is after a particular type of baby outfit. Now my German is basic, as is her English and although I can translate a lot of what she says, she says she is after "Sowas" which I cannot translate........So she sent me a picture of the type of outfit she is after and I have no idea what I would search for to find it!...I know she is after something pretty or "elegant" and with no legs in it, but not a dress!....Can you see how its open at the bottom in the picture?
(PS She has asked me as apparently you can't get items like this in Germany and knows I go back to the UK regularly....But I personally think we would have more luck with American shops/stores as I've not really seen anything like this in the UK)

....Any ideas? what would you call this outfit?

Any ideas where to get this type of thing?

Many Thanks in advance.

Hey,

My husband is German and he doesn't know the word either O.o

I don't think I've seen such a dress, maybe if you try looking for Christening Dresses you will find something simular. Sorry, can't be any help >.<

It could be. I know you can get the "Maggie Suits" - because I have one for my daughter (It was actually my sons first) from Mothercare (They look like little Maggie Simpsons in it lol) . Its like a long nighty but the bottom is elasticated. But it is 100% cotton, and not frilly etc....

But Thanks anyway girlies, I appreciate the responses.

Oh yeah, I'm looking now.....Not sure I'd want dolls clothes for my baby!....Do people buy dolls stuff for their babies?

Mind you, I know my Mom said I was dressed in dolls clothes because they were the only things that would fit (I was 6 weeks prem)...Never could wait for anything! lol
