Question

oh's works do?

ok so im pondering on if to go or not and oh seems to think we HAVE to go.

so heres some things about the works do and us ect

1. We have never ever left kyle over night and would have to
2. ITs a good 30-40min drive there
3. the hotel the do is in would cost us £95 for the night
4. If we stayed somewhere else is would be that hotel cost plus to taxis so still maybe £60-£70
5. Its a 3 course meal the big problem is i dont like the starter or the dessert and the main meal is the size if that of a happy meal

so really its atlest £70 for a piss up and a happy meal but oh seems to think if we dont go his boss will hold it agaisnt him and its on the weekend after next so not really fair to leave kyle over night to test it to then do it again so soon

I voted go to the works do, as long as you are leaving Kyle with someone you trust. Regardless of the actual meal you might enjoy the night with your OH.

Only you will know if you're happy to leave your LO overnight (I know I wouldn't be). If you are then by all means go, but if you're not either let your OH go himself or take your LO with you.

I voted go ...you might enjoy the night with your OH. The chances to spend a night with your OH alone probably won't happen often. We've not had a night yet really... only a few hours. Go for it ... Your LO Will be mostly sleeping anyway.

But only you will know how comfortable you feel

I voted go and have Kyle stay overnight to see how it goes before I realised it would be so close together and your not really comfortable with that

I would still go though, LO is young enough that he will probably sleep the majority of the time you are away and wont really notice. Regardless of the meal it might still be a good night (if you feel you wont worry all night) Its a good excuse for a night out!
It is sort of frowned upon if you dont attend our Christams doo, it's seen as not supporting the sqaudron and is noted in assesments. It is ridiculous

Could you take Kyle with you and have the hotel babysitting service (if there is one) look after him and then you coul keep popping up every now and again to see if he is alright? Only problem with this is that you probably won't relax and will feel on edge all evening.

Who's paying for the meal?

If his work are then fair do's i'd say go, you can always make your excuses and come away if you dont like it

cant take lo and his work pays for the meal but in the past 2 years its been really crappy and most of it under cooked.

I think oh really wants us to go but im still not 100% about leaving Lo overnight his teething and waking loads in the night and dont go bed till between 9-10pm

Me and oh keep talking about it but no closer to making up our minds and its not that long till it is the do
