i have a totally non-mummy car - a 2l vw beetle, with my 'rims' of course
it fit's what i need in atm, so i'm happy, and OH has a merc a-class, which is a nice family car.

i think though, that after our wedding, i shall be saying bye bye to 'bea' i think with two children she wont be big enough probably for something like a range rover sport or i am currently liking the audi estates, have been looking on 'parkers' at boot space

I test drove a Sport yesterday and was totally underwhelmed. I always wanted one and we decided to go and car shop yesterday and I was so excited but got in it and it felt a bit plasticy and I was so disapointed.

Went in a Porsche for a look, took it out and loved it. We are off back to buy her next weekend and I am so happy with it. Couldn't believe how much nicer it was than the RR.

You may well love it but just be prepared for it not to be all you want it to be

We have an '09 Toyota Corolla LE. Super-practical for us: roomy, safe, inexpensive, holds its value well, good gas mileage. Definitely a "mom" car! (well, it's DH's so I guess it's a "dad" car ) Not unattractive either, we're not car people but we think it looks nice enough next to other cars. And, despite its very light colour, the interior is unbelievably stain-resistant! lol

i drive a 2.0 diesel ford focus...i love it! very practical as a family car, as well as feeling fun to be out in even when i don't have isabel with me

it also has helpful little storage places/cubby holes in the front and back...e.g. at the side of the seats in the back there are little shallow trays so i rest my car key in there when putting the car seat in/out so there's no risk of me dropping it...simple things like that have made life that bit easier

also the boot is huge! absolutely huge! we considered a golf or astra, but so glad we went with the focus as it feels bigger inside the car as well as having a boot that easily fits the massive travel system we're currently using

(it also easily fits two car seats and an adult in the back, tried and tested when transporting nephew and SIL!)

ha ha - as you can see from my post...i love my car!

I have a Vauxhall Tigra Coupe (the old style) and I love it so much, but I am fed up with having no back doors! So I am swapping it for a Renault Scenic this week. Can't wait to have a 5 door car again, even if it will make me feel old .

Looking forward to ditching the boy racer insurance though!

I have Peugeot 206. The 5 door one. I like it, as it's a small family car that doesn't make me feel 40 years old. But more boot space would be better!

Ive got megane estate sports tourer i totally love it
It is sooo roomy, esp in the back if i compare it to astra estate which OH has, it wins on space!
This may be bit big for some mums on space, we need larger car due to travelling to see my family, we take fair bit of stuff with us, so boot gets brilliant use!

Iv had... 06 reg clio 3dr. Not best for getting baby in & out, not great deal room in the boot but would probably do for most, then i had pug 207 5dr, which had more room than clio... but all in all a very bad car in my eyes, all i had was problems with it, so i got rid of.
