cut down on spending. try not to eat out, rather cook and eat at home as much as you can (even if it means bringing lunch to work with you!). Are there a lot of coupons in the UK? Sorry i don't know if they have ton of grocery coupons there like they have here at the store or in newspapers...but coupon clipping for grocery shopping can be a nice way to save $20 on grocery trips (my last grocery trip i saved $17 just through coupons). When you are out, try to refrain from buying little things like a coffee or drink, a snack on the way to or from work...$3 for a snack doesn't sound much but if this is a routine to do it every day before/after work, $3 adds up over time!
One thing that really helps people with their spending is they write down everything they buy, every little penny they use, for a month, then review their whole months spending and they can see exactly where the money goes (gas? food? bills? odd little spending on the side for this and that) and can cut things out where they feel they can.
Selling things you don't need on ebay is another thing. Also if there's any monthly bill you guys can live without to save that money instead, like cable/satellite TV, cellphone/land phone, internet, etc. These are just suggestions...I know for me i could NEVER live w/o internet haha but i think if i had to, i could cut cable off to save $30 a month.
These are just *some* ideas to save a buck on your paychecks. Not sure if it will help you or not, but maybe atleast give you a thought or two about where you can possibly save some extra $$. Good luck saving for the wedding

i'm sure it will be fabulous in the end!
