I'm Currently Feeling: | You're fine as long as you don't handle the litter (or if you have no one else to do it for you make sure you wear gloves and wash your hands afterwards)! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Well,I handle the littler but I wash my hands afterwards.I'm not one of those people who touch the litter with their bare hands and then go and make a sandwich... |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Never said you were Just trying to say that having cats during pregnancy is perfectly safe as long as you're careful about it. You can get toxoplasmosis through uncooked meat and gardening as well as cat feces. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Naw, you have to be careful in the first trimester when changing the kitty litter because if you have an outdoor cat it may have toxoplasmosis which can harm the baby. Therefore, either have someone else do the scooping of the poop, or do it yourself with gloves and wash your hands thoroughly after that. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Toxoplasmosis won't really affect you and there is always a good chance that you've already been exposed (and are immune) if you've had cats most of your life. It can harm the baby though by attacking the brain. |
