OMG, so tonight at a local bar that my husband actually works at, they had karaoke. I enjoy singing and have only been there once since I had Rocco, which is actually the ONLY time I was out since I had him. I think it was like two weeks after he was born. So yeah, I don't get out much. So the way it works is my husband, Eric, comes home from his full time job, I leave to go to karaoke, then I come home in time for me to shower and take over, and he goes into the bar to work. He only works Thursday-Saturday nights. So that's what we did. I went with my SIL. (Eric's sister) So about 45 minutes after I get there my SIL looks at her phone and says "oh, Mom is calling. I wonder what she wants" She goes outside to answer it and when she comes back in she's just laughing. I had posted on my facebook status that I was going to karaoke. My MIL calls my SIL and says "are you at karaoke with Chandra?" My SIL was like "yeah why?" She says "where's Rocco?" WTF??? My SIL actually answered "oh he's sitting here having a smoke and a beer. NO! He's home with Eric!" My MIL was like "oh, I guess I'm just a little disappointed cause they didn't bring him over here for me to watch him" OH MY GOOODDDDDDDDD!!!!! At first I thought she was an idiot and thought we left him home alone or something and that the whole "disappointed" thing was just something else. But then I realized she called my SIL for a reason!! She was calling to see if he was at MY parents cause she's jealous every time we take him there!! What a pain in my ASS!!! Here's the thing. Whenever she wants to see him, she INVITES HERSELF TO MY HOUSE, and only calls like 15 minutes before, and I end up making up an excuse because my house is a mess, or I'm in my pj's and haven't showered. I don't like that. I feel like she's invading my privacy! If she invited US to THEIR house more often, I would have NO problem taking him over to visit more. My parents will invite us to dinner for example and we go to visit. My parents have watched him on several occasions, as she has too. She just really drives me nuts. And I KNOW that's why she called my SIL. Because she wanted to "get the info" on where Rocco was. What? Are we supposed to drive him to her house 20 minutes away every time ONE of us wants to go out?? No! It's not necessary! Plus, it's late. I got home at 1130. They go to bed at like 9. that's why my SIL was surprised she was calling, cause it was almost 10. lol
Ugh, seriously, she's driving me nuts. And of course, I come on here and bitch and I bitch to my friends, but my husbands knows I can't stand her, and I think he's starting to get offended. But he knows how she is and can be annoyed by her sometimes too. I'm just going crazy.

I can see the same problem with my MIL when my mum babysits. I can also see me having to bite my Tongue in front of hubby! I would say to ignore her but I don't think I could! X
