Making Your Own Clothes

Okay, who does it? I would loooooovve to be able to follow a pattern and make my own clothes. But, I am embarrassingly inept at such domesticated things. But I'm slowly learning. I have so many ideas for blouses but I don't even know how to draw so I can't even get those ideas out of my head.

I would also loooooovvve to make my own 16th century gown.

I knit my own clothes and it IS really addictive. It is amazing to adjust a pattern so that it fits your body just the way you want it.
I would also love to learn to sew properly.
Chris, have you ever look at the Kathryn and Alexandra site? They started out as costume makers, but then they put out all these wedding gowns from different eras. Let's just say drool?

It's the combo of corset and skirt that get me. I loved doing restoration theatre - great clothes!

I took a sewing class in high school; the only truly wearable thing I ever made, that looks as if store-bought, was a pair of pajama pants. lol I don't even know if I could recreate that accomplishment; certainly nothing more complicated!

I made an apron?
And yeah, I would be hard-pressed to do that again!
