High school kids recreate tv drama!!

Just been looking at the news and saw this story about 6 teenagers in the West Midlands have copied something that was shown on BBC1 Waterloo road on wednesday evening.
On Waterloo Road this involved 2 boys selling pop with pure Ethanol in (from a science class) and selling it to the rest of the school on the basis that the ethanol (pure alcohol) would give them the same sensation as alcohol that can be bought in shops/pubs.Well these 6 teenagers in the news today have drank ethanol hoping for the same results.Thankfully all involved are ok,but Ethanol can be deadly,I hope this isnt the start of many other kids attempting the same.
I bet Waterloo Road have had lots of complaints about this.I couldnt beleive it when I was reading it.

OMG, that's terrible but you can't really blame Waterloo Road, they were just raising the subject, they went through all the dangers and I bet similar things are happening every day but because it's not been on the telly it was not mentioned in the news.

The staff at the school should be to blame really because surely some teacher must have noticed that these children were up to no good and really, I didn't realise 14 and 15 year olds were immature enough to copy stuff that is obviously not the best idea, off the telly.

Yeah thats true, maybe schools will start monitoring more closely when using the Ethanol and limit access to it now though which is a good thing.

I don't think Waterloo Road can be blamed either to be honest. If these kids were copying what they had seen, they would also have seen how poorly it can make you. So to me, they were just plain stupid!

We were never warned in school about the dangers of Ethanol though. There were people in my class who talked about drinking it during lessons, but they never did, thank goodness! x

That is so stupid. I watched the episode and thought it was quite good as they did involve all the dangers and what not, but if children still copy. You can't make no television anymore this way as they will copy anything. SO stupid!
